ABOUT ALONE WITH GOD
History
Alone with God (AWG) traces its origins to a profound spiritual encounter experienced by Damilola and Bukola Bekes over six years ago. En route from Amsterdam to Lagos on a KLM flight, they received a divine vision. The instruction was clear: to utilize worship and praises as potent weapons of spiritual warfare over Nigeria, followed by the release of prophetic words over the nation. This pivotal moment marked the inception of AWG.
The inaugural edition of AWG took place on Sunday, 4th February 2018, held at the temporary venue of Victorious Praying Women Ministries hall in Alausa, Lagos. Despite its humble beginnings, the event drew a significant gathering of over 50 attendees, setting the stage for what would become a transformative journey.
Since its inception, AWG has continued to convene faithfully on the first Sunday of every month, fostering a community dedicated to worship and spiritual communion. Over time, this movement has evolved, giving rise to Worship Experience (WE) as a subsidiary endeavor.
Mission
The mission of Alone with God (AWG) is deeply rooted in its divine inception. At its core, AWG is committed to harnessing the power of worship and praise as instruments of spiritual warfare. By fostering an atmosphere of reverent adoration, AWG seeks to invoke God’s presence and unleash His divine intervention upon the nation of Nigeria and beyond.
Through prayerful intercession and prophetic declaration, AWG endeavors to usher in a spiritual awakening, igniting hearts and minds with the transformative power of God’s love and grace. In essence, AWG is on a mission to cultivate a vibrant culture of worship, prayer, and prophetic proclamation, ultimately catalyzing spiritual revival and societal transformation.
Vision
The vision of Alone with God (AWG) extends far beyond the borders of Nigeria, encompassing a global mandate to reach the nations of the world with God’s divine intervention. Inspired by the original vision received during that fateful flight, AWG aspires to transcend geographical boundaries, bringing the message of hope, healing, and redemption to diverse communities worldwide.
As evidenced by the birth of Worship Experience (WE) and its expansion into different countries such as Lagos, Ireland, London, New Zealand, and beyond, AWG envisions a world where worship knows no bounds and God’s presence permeates every corner of the earth. Collaborating with renowned gospel artists and ministries, AWG seeks to amplify its impact, touching lives and stirring souls with the transformative power of worship and praise.
In essence, AWG’s vision is to be a beacon of light in a world plagued by darkness, proclaiming the supremacy of God’s love and sovereignty over all creation. Through worship, prayer, and prophetic utterance, AWG aims to catalyze a global revival, ushering in a new era of spiritual awakening and divine intervention for the glory of God.
